Software Development

Web applications, internal tools and integrations built around your work. Multi-user, cloud-based systems that we maintain.

Who is it for?

  • Businesses whose processes run on spreadsheets, paper forms or WhatsApp, and suffer errors and lost information as a result.
  • Companies where an off-the-shelf package does not fit a specific workflow (production, stock, orders, quality tracking) and the team works around it with exceptions.
  • Companies where several users need the same data at the same time but manage it through shared files.
  • Businesses whose systems (accounting, production tracking, e-commerce, supplier portal) run separately, with data keyed in by hand repeatedly.

Common problems

  • Critical business data kept in one person's spreadsheet, so the process stops when that person is away or leaves.
  • Different departments keeping the same information in different files and versions that do not match.
  • Off-the-shelf licence and per-user costs growing out of proportion as the business grows.
  • A custom tool written by one person, such as a former employee or freelancer, running as a black box without code, documentation or maintenance support.

What we deliver

  • Analysing the business process to identify which steps software can automate.
  • Developing a web-based application built around your work, such as order tracking, stock management, quality control or field and service management.
  • Building multi-user systems with authorisation and role-based access.
  • Integration and API development between existing systems (accounting, e-commerce, CRM).
  • Small internal tools such as reporting dashboards, approval flows and form automation.
  • Setting up, scaling and securing the cloud infrastructure the application runs on, with a maintenance plan after launch.
  • Handing over source code, data structure and technical documentation to the business, so the dependency is on the business and not on one person.

Compliance link

In a system built for your business, access authorisation and data retention rules can be designed around your own needs, so the KVKK principles of data minimisation and preventing unauthorised access can be built directly into the system. This is an advantage an off-the-shelf package generally cannot offer. A regular maintenance and update process also supports keeping software current. For ISO 27001, it relates to the secure development and change management controls.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose custom software or an off-the-shelf package?

If your process is standard and common, off-the-shelf software is usually faster and cheaper. If the process is specific to you or gives you a competitive edge, custom software can have a lower total cost and higher efficiency in the long run. The decision should follow the 3 to 5 year total cost and your need for flexibility.

How long does custom software take to build?

It depends on scope and complexity: a small internal tool can be delivered in weeks, a multi-user system with integrations in months. A clear timeline is set after analysis.

What happens if the person or company that built the software leaves?

If source code and documentation are delivered to the business, maintenance can be continued by another team. This is why the question "who owns the code?" should be answered explicitly in the contract.

Can a system be integrated with our existing accounting or ERP program?

Most modern programs have an API or a data transfer method. We assess what is possible and design an integration that needs as little manual data entry as possible.

Does custom software make sense for a small business?

Not always. If the process is simple, ready-made tools are enough. But where a manual process is repetitive, error-prone and time-consuming, even a small custom tool can pay for itself quickly.
